We are promoting our exciting Lottery Heritage Funded project: Women for Women: 19th century Bloomsbury women and a proposed follow-up project.
In these we highlight women who fought for equal opportunities for education, training and employment.
- Create social media posts to continue to draw attention to women’s stories that should not be silenced.
- Create a dynamic PowerPoint presentation and/or mini video to illustrate the themes of Women for Women to mark Women’s History Month.
- Support the creation of newsletters and news mailings to attract interest in ongoing and future work.
You'll:
have an opportunity to be creative and think laterally to widen outreach through different channels.
be stimulated as you glimpse a history that has been overshadowed by the achievements of the 20th century Bloomsbury Group and suffragettes.
to create posts and resources that convey the nucleus of the storries of the woman celebrated and which complement the public image of the company
to interpret heritage creatively
to adapt to diverse audiences
to ensure copyright is not breached
to widen outreach
and
learn about a social history in an accessible way and which can inform your knowledge of contemporary debates.
you need to:
- have some experience of creating and posting on social media
- to be creative and have a sharp focus
- have an excellent command of English to process information
- be passionate about recognising women's achievements
also an advantage but not essential:
experience of video and audio editing.
