Station Collection Volunteer - Across London

Every month The Passage holds a collection at Victoria mainline station and various tube stations throughout London. Our station collectors play an important role in spreading the word about what we do, as well as raising funds to support our work.

What You'll Do:

As a station collector, your role will involve supporting us at our collections which are held on either Tuesdays or Thursdays, between 7 AM and 10 PM. Our primary collection site will be Victoria Mainline Station, where you will have a recurring monthly slot, though you may also collect at various tube stations across London during the same hours.

Your responsibilities will include engaging with the public on the station concourses, collecting both cash and contactless donations. You will also distribute leaflets to raise awareness about our work and represent The Passage in the community, acting as a visible ambassador for our cause.

Why You'll Love It:

It is our mission to prevent and end homelessness in London, acting with compassion and urgency. Volunteers are essential to The Passage and our success. Our team of volunteers add tremendous value to our services, from serving food and driving, to providing complementary therapies and facilitating English conversation classes. By joining us and offering your time to support us, you help us continue to bring these vital services to those in need.

You will receive full support from the volunteer supervisor and coordinator throughout your time with us.

Crossbones is a stone's throw away from London Bridge and was boarded up and closed for many years. Behind the hoardings is a post-medieval, un-consecrated pauper’s burial ground with the remains of an estimated 15,000 people buried there.
