Education for Sustainability Project

Support the King's Sustainability Team to integrate sustainability into all modules and courses at king's!

What You'll Do:

You will work with the King's sustainability team and student volunteers to understand the current status of Education for Sustainability (EfS) in the curriculum at King's and help develop a strategy and timeline for furthering EfS implementation.

You will receive Community Organising training - which will empower and enable you to deliver 121 conversations with academics across King's. In these 121s, you will better understand how academics have already implemented sustainability into their curriculum and what barriers they faced as well as what support academics need to begin the process of implementing EfS.

In addition to conducting 121s, you will use the information gathered from these conversations to help us collate resources (like case studies and toolkits) to provide support for academics implementing EfS into their curriculum.

Why You'll Love It:
  • Connect with likeminded students.
  • Create meaningful connections with academics in your department.
  • Develop your own understanding of sustainability, in relation to your course and career goals.
  • Shape your own curriculum.
  • Student-guided project.
  • Make real and practical sustainable change at King's.
  • This project can be added to your CV, to show future employers.
What You'll Learn:
  • Community Organising - key to grassroots activism and campaigning.
  • How to make change.
  • How sustainability can be built into any course/career.
  • Best practice examples of EfS.
  • More about how the Higher Education (HE) system works.
What We're Looking For:
