Social Club Volunteer

Our social clubs are free, social activities which bring older (65+) and younger people together to learn, laugh and try out new things. From silent discos, hula hooping and trips to the cinema to pottery and crafting, we try everything. Come join!

What You'll Do:

Our social clubs are free social activities which bring older (65+) and younger people together to hang out, learn new things and create new friendships along the way. From silent discos to hula hooping; Congolese dance workshops to quieter crafting clubs - our clubs are about busting stereotypes that surround older and younger people so we will try everything and anything!

We're looking for brilliant new volunteers to join our older pals at our clubs. Your main role will be to be a friendly face and get stuck into the activity at hand. You can come along to however many, or few, social clubs you can attend each month.

Our activities take place at different times and locations across Camden & Islington. So, we hope there'll be a club that works for everyone. You can see all our upcoming social clubs here.

Why You'll Love It:

By joining our programme, you'll gain a social life like no other - where you'll meet new older pals whilst learning how to flamenco or getting covered in clay at a pottery workshop. Our clubs are a great way to connect with your local community, pick up new interests and gain new friends and perspectives. But most importantly- we hope you have a lot of fun in the process.

To see how much fun, check out Andy's blog about our older and younger pals attempt to break a Guiness World Record in Kentish Town.

What You'll Learn:

You'll experience new company and conversation that will help you feel connected to your community, broaden your horizons and gain confidence within yourself and around others.

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for brilliant new volunteers to join our older pals at our social clubs. Your main role is to be a friendly face, a listening ear, to offer company, and to get stuck into the activity of the social club. This varies greatly depending on the club - sometimes this will look like getting cooking on a virtual club or taking part in an art workshop in Regents Park.
