Our Pick and Pack team are based in one of our lively baby banks. Together we sort, check, and prepare pre-loved items for children. Volunteers create high-quality bundles of toys, clothes, and equipment to gift to families.
- Get to know each child using details we provide to select items they’ll love
- Create beautiful packages of clothes, toys and books with love and care
- Check donated pre-loved items, so that they are all of gift quality
- Organise checked items by gender, age, and type
- Make smaller gift packs e.g., underwear, socks, bibs and linen
- Safety check and clean buggies and cots, when needed
- Greet and thank people arriving with donations of pre-loved items
- Help loading and unloading gifts and stock for delivery
- Act in a non-judgmental, inclusive and loving way
We are London’s biggest Baby Bank, helping over 7000 children per year. With love, we collect donations of pre-loved items to share with children living in poverty.
Volunteers are at the heart of Little Village and essential to everything we do. From supporting families face to face or on the ‘phone to sorting donations or delivering gifts.
