Arabic Translator

Calling all King’s College students! We’re looking for a passionate volunteer to help translate stories and interviews from Arabic to English. Your skills can amplify voices and bridge cultures! Interested? Reach out and make a difference!

What You'll Do: 
  • Transcription:
    • Accurately transcribe Arabic audio or video content into written Arabic text before starting the translation process.
  • Translation:
    • Translate the Arabic text into clear, concise, and culturally appropriate English, ensuring that the original meaning and tone are preserved.
  • Proofreading and Editing:
    • Review the translated text for grammatical accuracy, coherence, and fluency in English, making necessary adjustments for clarity and readability.
  • Cultural Adaptation:
    • Adapt references, idioms, and cultural nuances from the Arabic content to make them understandable and relatable for an English-speaking audience.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Cross-check the translated work with the original Arabic content to ensure that all key points and information have been accurately conveyed without any omissions or errors.
