Run in the Dark London Volunteer

As darkness sweeps around the globe in mid November, 25,000 people worldwide will hit the streets to Run in the Dark and help to cure paralysis in our lifetime.

What You'll Do:

About Run in the Dark

Run in the Dark is a fundraiser for our charity Collaborative Cures whose mission is to cure paralysis in our lifetime.

The event was set up by an Irish man called Mark Pollock who went blind as a college student and then became an adventure athlete competing in ultra-endurance races across deserts, mountains, and the polar ice caps including being the first blind person to race to the South Pole. In 2010, a fall from a second story window nearly killed him. Mark broke his back and the damage to his spinal cord left him paralysed. Now he is on a new expedition, this time to cure paralysis in our lifetime; Run in the Dark fuels this mission.

Run in Dark is fuelled by the support and commitment of 600 volunteers around the globe who make it possible to operate 50 events on 4 continents on one night in November.
