Cornwall Garden Society Spring Flower Show Volunteer

This is a great opportunity to get involved with all elements of the set up and running of the CGS Spring Flower Show from setting up the display shelves to selling tickets, signing up new members, helping the catering team and everything in between!

What You'll Do:

We're looking for volunteers to help out with the set up and stewarding of the Cornwall Garden Society Spring Flower Show this coming Spring.

The Show will be held on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 April and we need lots of volunteers to make it a success, both at the Show itself and also during the week running up to it, and the days after it for dismantling.

Everyone who helps will gain free entry to the Show on the day they are on duty, or on a nominated day if you help in the setting up and/or dismantling periods, and ideally we will need people to volunteer for a minimum of 2 x 2 hour sessions during the day or on multiple days if you're available to help on more than one day.

There is no limit to the number of sessions you can do and mileage expenses will be paid to those helping out in the set up week.

Tools and equipment will be provided where necessary and you don't have to be a member of the Cornwall Garden Society to volunteer so if you have any friends and/or family who may also be interested in helping out please do get in touch.

For more information or to offer your help please email showadmin@cornwallgardensociety.org.uk.

Why You'll Love It:

It's Cornwall's answer to the Chelsea Flower Show and you'll gain a huge sense of satisfaction, seeing the Show take form and the final result of everyone's hard work.

What You'll Learn:

Working as part of a great team of volunteers, you'll learn just how much work goes into the set up and operation of a major event and all the different factors that need to be thought about.

What We're Looking For:

Flexible and adaptable people who aren't afraid of a bit of hard work.

You could be asked to dress display stands, support the show Judges and Judges Stewards, empty bins, help visitors with their purchases, make the tea, help traders set up their stalls, sign up new members, direct show visitors around the exhibition halls, highlight any Health and Safety issues etc., etc., etc..  The list is endless!
