NSPCC
We’re the leading children’s charity in the UK, specialising in child protection and dedicated to protecting children today to prevent abuse tomorrow. We’re the only UK children’s charity with statutory powers, which means we can take action to safeguard children at risk of abuse.
ABOUT US:

Abuse can ruin childhoods. And for children suffering alone, the NSPCC can be their only hope.

Every year we help keep over a million children safer. We are here to listen, reassure, and take action to protect children. We support children and families to stop abuse from happening and help them recover if it does. But we need your help to be here for every child.

WHY OUR WORK MATTERS:

Child abuse and neglect happens every day, in every walk of life, all around the UK. At least two children in the average primary school classroom have experienced abuse or neglect. By the time they turn 18, that number rises to at least 4.We’ve been protecting children for over 100 years. Over 5 years, thanks to the generosity of our supporters, volunteers and staff, we helped to make more than 6.6 million children safer from abuse. We’ve developed new services to help families, campaigned to change laws, shared information about abuse and how to recognise it, and developed new tools for children, parents and professionals. But we can’t stop there.

OUR VALUES:
Putting children first.
Taking a stand.
Working together.
Striving for excellence.
Making an impact.
THINGS WE ARE PROUD OF:
ChildLine – which enables children to get help online or over the phone with any of their concerns –ranging from the death of a pet to domestic abuse – suicide or exam stress.
Schools Service – which is a free service to schools helping children empower themselves by knowing how to recognise signs of abuse and who to talk to if they feel unsafe.
Campaigning and community support – helping raise awareness of child abuse and neglect and helping to bring about much needed change
NSPCC Service Hubs – which Face-to-Face support, we have Hubs in Jersey, Plymouth, Tidworth, and Swindon
NSPCC-Helpline – a free service for adults who have concerns about a child, run by trained practitioners who are able to identify the child's need and escalate this as appropriate
WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN OUR PEOPLE:

We are looking for individuals who share a passion for putting an end to child abuse and neglect. Those who are reliable and dedicated to creating a better future for young people to grow up in, where they can feel safe, free and have a childhood that everyone deserves.
