Abuse can ruin childhoods. And for children suffering alone, the NSPCC can be their only hope.
Every year we help keep over a million children safer. We are here to listen, reassure, and take action to protect children. We support children and families to stop abuse from happening and help them recover if it does. But we need your help to be here for every child.
Child abuse and neglect happens every day, in every walk of life, all around the UK. At least two children in the average primary school classroom have experienced abuse or neglect. By the time they turn 18, that number rises to at least 4.We’ve been protecting children for over 100 years. Over 5 years, thanks to the generosity of our supporters, volunteers and staff, we helped to make more than 6.6 million children safer from abuse. We’ve developed new services to help families, campaigned to change laws, shared information about abuse and how to recognise it, and developed new tools for children, parents and professionals. But we can’t stop there.
We are looking for individuals who share a passion for putting an end to child abuse and neglect. Those who are reliable and dedicated to creating a better future for young people to grow up in, where they can feel safe, free and have a childhood that everyone deserves.
We’re the leading children’s charity in the UK. We've been here for children for over 135 years. From our campaigns to our services – we strive to make a difference in everything we do. Between 2016 and 2021, we've helped make 6.6 million children safer from abuse.
