The Scout Association
Our mission Scouts actively engages and supports young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.
ABOUT US:

The Scouts Association is the largest Scouting organisation in the UK. Scouting gives young people aged between 4 and 25 years old the opportunity to discover just what they can do and what they can achieve. From spending their first night away from home to planning an international expedition, the unique experiences Scouts of all ages enjoy help them to realise their full potential and set them up with skills for life.

WHY OUR WORK MATTERS:

We are a charity that has been serving young people for over 100 years and does so through the dedicated commitment, passion and heart of its countless volunteers. Currently there are 100,000 young people on the scouts waiting list nationally. We need more volunteers to allow us to offer more places to young people. We offer flexible volunteering opportunities, from planning and delivering activities weekly to young people from 4- to 18-year-olds, to helping occasionally behind the scenes as part of the trustee board of a Scout group. No matter your background or experience, where you’re based, or which team you’re in, your time and skills help young people gain skills for life.
