On Your Side operates as a free, UK-wide support and reporting service tailored to the needs of ESEA individuals. Our services extend to addressing discrimination/hate based on various factors including gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, and political affiliation. We cater to individuals of all ages and ensure accessibility by providing support in a wide range of ESEA languages such as Japanese, Tagalog, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka, Waray, and Bisaya. Recognizing the importance of overcoming language barriers, we also collaborate with trusted interpreters when necessary.
Our support doesn't end with reporting incidents; we offer ongoing community-based assistance facilitated by casework advocates. These advocates are trained in trauma-informed approaches and cultural competency to ensure that every service user feels respected and supported. Moreover, a significant portion of our caseworkers come from ESEA backgrounds, further enhancing our ability to understand and address the needs of victims.
Our comprehensive assistance covers emotional and mental health support, access to counseling, police reporting, domestic violence support, legal assistance, employment advice, and more. We believe that no incident is too small to seek assistance for, and we are committed to providing help in any way we can.
