Girlguiding in Southwark
Girlguiding provides a space for girls to grow, learn and have fun. The girls make new friends and go on adventures with their peers whilst earning badges on the way. Volunteers have fun and there are many ways you can learn and develop with Girlguiding. Our mission can be found here https://www.girlguiding.org.uk/about-us/who-we-are/our-mission/
ABOUT US:

Girlguiding is a non-profit organisation. Southwark district operates in Southwark and is comprised of a handful of local units. These meet on weeknights in the evenings during term times at a set location. Occasionally girls will go on trips away from their regular meeting place and on residentials. Each weekly meeting usually last 1-2 hours long and comprises of a set preplanned programme of games, songs, craft and activities that are chosen by the girls attending.

WHY OUR WORK MATTERS:

Yearly girlguiding participates in the Girl's attitude survey which reveals how girls ages 7-21 years old feel about aspirations, wellbeing and safety. For 15 years in a row Girlguiding has gathered data on these issues from Girlguiding and non-girlguiding members. Girlguiding provides a place for girls to understand that they can be and do anything they set their minds to.
