SINCE 9/11 is a non-political, non-denominational educational charity set up to ensure that the legacy of 9/11 builds hope from tragedy. Our acclaimed Education Programme focuses on teaching the events, causes and consequences of 9/11 in an attempt to create a better, more peaceful and cohesive future, one of tolerance and respect for all faiths, beliefs and religions.
Young people in school today were not born at the time of the 9/11 attacks. Often, the only thing they will hear about the attacks are conspiracy theories shared on social media. Teachers lack both the confidence and knowledge to be able to address misinfirnation and disinformation in the classrooms. Our work aims to improve community cohesion, tolerance and understanding - all of which seem to be decreasing in our ever polarised society.
