The A21 Campaign
Our mission is to end human trafficking through awareness, intervention, and aftercare.
ABOUT US:

A21 is a global anti-human trafficking organisation dedicated to abolishing modern-day slavery by empowering individuals, recovering victims, and restoring survivors.

WHY OUR WORK MATTERS:

Human trafficking impacts millions worldwide, thousands in the UK alone, generating billions of pounds in illicit profits.

A21's efforts help create awareness about the issue within our communities;

We are driven by a radical hope that the cycle of human trafficking can be broken.

Through our unique approach, we have seen an increase in awareness around the issue and an increase in reporting incidents of human trafficking as a direct corelation from our awareness and education efforts.

WOMEN OF PEACE MEDIA AWARD. Christian Elliot, A21 Director of Global Development, received the UN Women of Peace Media Award in 2020 for his work with A21 Can You See Me? Campaigns to help end violence against women and girls.
HERO AWARD. Phil Hyldgaard, A21 Chief Operations Officer, received the Hero Award in 2012 from the U.S. Department of State Trafficking in Persons Office for his work to combat human trafficking with A21.
THINGS WE ARE PROUD OF:
* Successful awareness initiatives in schools and communities through our Reach efforts.
* Partnering with local law enforcement to assist with professional trainings, screenings and identification of potential victims of human trafficking. Some of our partners include Border Force, MET Police, Heathrow Airport and Gatwick Airport.
* Strong volunteer engagement in awareness campaigns such as Walk For Freedom - an annual day of global awareness and local action in the fight against human trafficking. The largest in the world of its kind.
*Can You See Me? - A public awareness campaign that shows common scenarios of human trafficking that may be encountered and provides tools to report suspicions.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN OUR PEOPLE:

A21 is looking for individuals who are equally passionate about this cause to partner and volunteer with us for agreed periods of time. This could be for 3 to 12 months or a short term commitment.

As a valuable member of our team, a volunteer will do everything they can to achieve our goals, ranging from presentation deliveries to grant research to assisting in victim identification projects. Our volunteers love learning and engagement with the issue and always leave feeling more informed about human trafficking and how they can be a local advocate for change in their community and in their career.
