eCommerce Assistant

What You'll Do: 

    

We are looking for volunteers with an interest in eCommerce to assist with researching, pricing, photographing and listing products for our eBay store as well as promoting listings on our social media platforms.

 

Full training will be given so that you can provide excellent customer service to our eBay customers ensuring they have a great online experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wishing to share and develop their skills and make new friends.

 

Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do here at Vision Foundation and every hour you contribute helps us to transform the lives of people facing or living with sight loss.

 

Main responsibilities include

 

  • Discover and quality check premium donations.
  • Research the history of quirky and interesting finds.
  • Writing creative and captivating descriptions of items and deciding pricing.
  • Style and photograph donated items for online sale.
  • Packaging and dispatching items for delivery, ensuring packages are well-presented.

What You'll Learn:

You will be given ongoing training in all aspects of identifying, listing, selling and dispatching eBay items to our customers.

 

We understand that there are many reasons why people chose to volunteer, from gaining work experience to developing confidence and we aim to create development and learning opportunities that give volunteers access to a pathway into employment both within and outside the organisation.

What We're Looking For: 

 

We want to be as flexible and accommodating as possible when. recruiting volunteers and offer the option of volunteering in the. morning, afternoon, weekdays and weekends . All we ask is that you can commit to a minimum of 3 hours per session and for a minimum of 3 months.

 

No special skills or experience required as full training will be given. We only ask for the following:

  •  Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Honesty, reliability and ability to work as part of a team.
  • An interest in charity retail and customer service.
  • A commitment to working in a culture that advocates collaboration, diversity and inclusion.
  • To embrace the values of Vision Foundation.
  • To take part in training relevant to your role.
