We are looking for volunteers with an interest in eCommerce to assist with researching, pricing, photographing and listing products for our eBay store as well as promoting listings on our social media platforms.
Full training will be given so that you can provide excellent customer service to our eBay customers ensuring they have a great online experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wishing to share and develop their skills and make new friends.

Main responsibilities include
- Discover and quality check premium donations.
- Research the history of quirky and interesting finds.
- Writing creative and captivating descriptions of items and deciding pricing.
- Style and photograph donated items for online sale.
- Packaging and dispatching items for delivery, ensuring packages are well-presented.

The charity funds organisations providing front-line projects and services across the capital, and works collaboratively through researching, building capacity, funding and investing, and advocacy. Perhaps unusual for a foundation, we raise funds for our grant making and support through an energetic fundraising team and a small but important retail operations.
As a volunteer you’ll help us raise vital funds for our work. You’ll make a real difference to people living with sight loss and their families at a time of need. You will be given ongoing training in all aspects of identifying, listing, selling and dispatching eBay items to our customers.
We understand that there are many reasons why people chose to volunteer, from gaining work experience to developing confidence and we aim to create development and learning opportunities that give volunteers access to a pathway into employment both within and outside the organisation.

We want to be as flexible and accommodating as possible when. recruiting volunteers and offer the option of volunteering in the. morning, afternoon, weekdays and weekends . All we ask is that you can commit to a minimum of 3 hours per session and for a minimum of 3 months.
No special skills or experience required as full training will be given. We only ask for the following:
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Honesty, reliability and ability to work as part of a team.
- An interest in charity retail and customer service.
- A commitment to working in a culture that advocates collaboration, diversity and inclusion.
