We are planning a series of exciting intergenerational workshops at Sutton House, the oldest building in East London. The workshops will be led by a diverse range of creatives and are designed to help tackle isolation, whilst also fostering greater social cohesiveness across generations. We are looking for young people from King's College to come and take part!
Upcoming workshops are as follows:
8th July - 2-4pm storytelling workshop with Laura Sampson, professional storyteller from the International London Centre for Storytelling
We hope that these workshops will be an opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to share their experiences and take part in stimulating projects.
This will be an amazing opportunity for young people to:
- Learn about their local history
- Foster their sense of belonging and responsibility for the community
- Engage with their elders by comparing their experiences of growing up in East London
- Help shape the future of Sutton House as a place for young and old
- Develop communication and empathy skills
Through this project we hope to encourage people to learn more about their local history and local community.
We are looking for:
- Someone with good communication skills
- Someone who cares about making a difference in their community
- Someone who is reliable and punctual
