RESEARCHER FOR LHF HERITAGE PROJECT: WOMEN FOR WOMEN: 19TH CENTURY WOMEN IN BLOOMSBURY AND MOVING INTO EARLY 20TH CENTURY DEVELOPMENTS
We continue our exciting Lottery Heritage Funded project: Women for Women: 19th century women in Bloomsbury exploring the challenges women faced accessing education, training and employment and now look at developments in the early 20th century.
- research women who trained in medicine and other branches of health care in London in 19th century and went on to open hospitals and medical facilities for women staffed women.
- organise research to present it in a clear format and ensuring sources are noted.
- create entries for the website that are appropriate for a general audience.
We can guarantee that you will find the work stimulating as you glimpse the achievements of women, particuarly in the field of healthcare, in late 19th century and early 20th century England. You will learn a wealth of social history in an accessible way and be able to use this to inform your knowledge of contemporary debates.This is work you can take pride in as your results will be visible. - a wealth of social history understanding of the drive, energy and determination that motivated and inspired others in the 19th century and can do so now.

- like to pay close attention to detail and be thorough in your approach to tasks.
- have a curious mind and really want to tie up loose threads and resolve issues.
- have an excellent command of English to identify clumsy language and suggest alternatives
- be able to work independently and manage your time and energy well
