Our Community Gardens are ran by, and for King's staff and students. Help support them by volunteering today, at your own flexibility. This opportunity will at most be 30-60 minutes every 2 weeks at either Denmark Hill or Guys campus.
This is a very flexible opportunity in terms of time commitment, at most a volunteer would do 30-60 minutes every 2 weeks at either Denmark Hill or Guys campus, Community Gardens. The tasks you can do include, but are not limitted to:
- Watering plants and crops
- Build furntiture and raised beds
- Maintaing a count of wildlife local to the Community Gardens.
- Organise any social events for the King's Community (in relation to the Community Garden)
We will provide any help or guidance on how to do any tasks you are not sure of :)
- This is a great way to get your hands dirty and support King's Community, directly improving the social culture.
- You would be welcome to take some of what you grew home (any vegetables or fruit).
- You will learn how to confidently garden indepdently, taking these skills with you.
- This is also a great way to join a fun community and make friends with people who also enjoy gardening and being outdoors.
Gardening can be a great mindfullness practise and improve one's mental wellbeing.
There will be lots of support for organising social events, so you can develop fun, exciting events that you and your King's peers can enjoy.

At the discretion of the volunteer, this role can require physical work can function as strength training, improving endurance and cardiovascular health!
An indiviual, interested in gardening (but prior experience is not neccesary) and close to either Denmark Hill or Guys campus.
Anyone can apply, student or staff and from any discpline/faculty/MIM within King's.

In - Deep run music therapy sessions for children and young adults with send aged 3 - 25 with qualified music therapists and in age appropriate groups. Volunteers help support the children as well the running of the sessions.
Every week we provide a lunch for isolated older people in Victoria. We provide jacket potato with various fillings and a hot meal in winter. the lunch is run by volunteers. We require volunteers on a Wednesday from 11.00 - 2.30.
