- Bridge communication gaps by fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for girls who are learning English.
- Act as a role model, encouraging and inspiring mentees to excel academically and pursue their educational goals with enthusiasm and determination.
- Foster personal development, following our Character Development Framework, by providing guidance on goal setting, time management, study skills, and confidence building techniques.
- Maintain regular communication with your mentee and programme coordinators to track progress, address challenges, and provide feedback.
- Good academic background with GSCE or degree-level education, particularly in Maths, English, and Science, to provide competent academic support.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to establish rapport and build trust with mentees, creating a supportive and encouraging environment for learning.
- Patience and empathy to understand the unique needs and challenges faced by each mentee and provide effective support and guidance.
- Ability to motivate and empower mentees, instilling a sense of confidence.
- Ability to speak Spanish or Arabic is highly desired, as many of the girls use these as their first languages.
