London Citizens' 2024 Accountability Accoutnability Assembly
25th April, 2024, 6-8PM (Arrive by 5PM)

You will support social justice and local democracy by aiding the action as part of the floor team. You will:
- Support logistics on the day to make sure the action goes smoothly
- Help to check people's tickets as they come into the venue and usher them to their seating area
- Help those with issues during the event to solve them smoothly, including finding quiet spaces or WCs as needed.
- Take part in briefings before the event - a short meeting one week before, and a briefing on the day (at 5PM).
This action is an unique event where diverse communities from across London come together to old the candidates for mayor to account. It's a chance to:
- Meet powerful decision-makers in London
- Participate in local democracy and a different way of creating change
- Meet diverse communities and people
Through this experience you will gain some insight into the behind the scenes of running a large-scale event (we will have two thousand people joining!) as well as skills in problem solving and logistical operations that may be useful in your future endeveaours. Furthermore, you will be in the middle of the action of local politics and democracy, and creating change in a way that centers local people and communities.
You will also receive a certificate for your role at the event - "London Citizens' 2024 Mayoral Assembly - Logistics team"
We are looking for independent problem solvers who are passionate about create change with communities. In particular, we are looking for people who:
- Work well as part of a team, knowing when to handle things themselves and when to escale issues further
- Have (or are keen to improve) logistical support skills
- Are quick thinkers - able to solve problems independently and swiftly to ensure the action runs smoothly
- Are excited about supporting the democratic process through community organising
You don't need any previous experience in event-planning or logistical support - just a passion for creating change!
Speaking multiple languages is not needed but encouraged. We work with diverse communities and having people who can speak multiple languages can help the logistical support on the day.
