King's Sport & Wellness Volunteer for Great King's Run March 2025

King's Sport & Wellness are looking for both staff and students to volunteer for Great King's Run which will be taking place on Sunday 23rd March 2025. The shift will take place from 08:30-12:30 at the Great Hall on Strand Campus.

What You'll Do: 

We're looking to fill the following positions:

  • Registration Desk: Sign in runners, give them t-shirts and direct them to where they can put their bags. 
  • Steward: help runners stay on route.

 

All volunteers will receive a GKR t-shirt & 1500 Move Points!

 

We will be holding a Great King's Run meeting on Thursday 21st March at 2pm at King's Sport & Wellness Centre (127 Stamford Street, SE1 9NQ). This will ensure all volunteers know what to do on the day. You can also join online for this meeting. We will send out confirmation and meeting link on Monday 18th March.

What You'll Learn: 

You'll gain experience in event volunteering - developing leadership, organisation and planning skills. You will also build new relationships and work with a team. It will also develop your communication and interpersonal skills.

What We're Looking For: 

No prior experience needed,  please wear warm comfortable clothes as could be outside & make sure to bring a drink.

We will be holding a Great King's Run meeting the week commencing 17th March (Exact date TB) at King's Sport & Wellness Centre (127 Stamford Street, SE1 9NQ). This will ensure all volunteers know what to do on the day.
