Social Media and Marketing Volunteer

Team Up is looking for a creative, friendly, and detail-oriented individual looking to develop their content creation and marketing skills to support us with managing our different social media channels.

What You'll Do: 

You will be working flexibly in a remote capacity with a small team of staff in a fun and friendly environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Establishing an/or maintaining active social media accounts by posting 1-2 times a week.
  • Researching and creating creative content for different social media channels.
  • Identifying opportunities to establish relationships with local community groups
  • Advertising volunteering opportunities in our programmes and diversifying online presence by interacting with other like-minded organisations on a regular basis.
  • Identifying target audiences and being up to date with current trends to increase our followers.
  • Any other reasonable requests by Line Manager.

What We're Looking For: 
  • Team Up is seeking a creative individual with excellent communication and time management skills, and a desire to develop their professional skills within social media and marketing in a voluntary capacity.
  • Candidates for this role will have the following skills and attributes:

 

Essential

  • Commitment to Team Up’s values of empowerment, accountability, and inclusiveness.
  • Ability to work within Team Up’s policies and GDPR guidelines.
  • Experience of using Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and/or LinkedIn.
  • Good written communication skills, with accuracy and good attention to detail.
  • Ability to think creatively when sharing content.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and motivated to work as an individual.
  • Ability to deal in a professional manner when communicating online.

 

Desirable

  • An interest in charity sector working.
  • Basic digital photography or graphic design experience will be useful but not necessary.
  • Experience using Canva or other marketing design software.
