Sustainability Ambassador

Are you passionate about sustainability and climate action?
Do you want to make a positive impact on our environment and inspire others to do the same? If so, we invite you to become a Sustainability Ambassador at King's!

What You'll Do: 

As a Sustainability Ambassador, you will have the exciting opportunity to work closely with King's Climate and Sustainability Team during the Climate & Sustainability Month (February 2024).  You will play a crucial part in promoting sustainability initiatives and engaging with students and staff.

Your role will involve a variety of activities, including: 

  1. Social Media & Photography :Capture the vibrant sustainability scene at King's by documenting events, activities, and sustainable practices on campus. Use your photography skills to tell impactful stories that inspire positive change.  
  2. Pop-Up Stalls and Hubs : Engage with the King's community at various pop-up stalls and sustainability hubs. Share information about ongoing sustainability projects and encourage students and staff to get involved. We will be hosting a pop-up stall at each  
  3. Flyering and Outreach : Distribute informative materials and resources about King's Climate & Sustainability Month events and opportunities. As well as the broader sustainable practices at King’s and beyond, promoting awareness and participation. 
  4. Develop Climate and Sustainability Knowledge : Develop a comprehensive understanding of King's climate and sustainability initiatives and the university's commitment to environmental responsibility. Be well-informed about local and global sustainability issues to educate and inspire others. 
  5. Engage and Inspire : Encourage a culture of sustainability on campus by actively promoting environmentally friendly practices. Motivate students and staff to adopt sustainable habits and get involved with King’s Climate and Sustainability Month opportunities.

Note: We will contact you when you sign up and follow up in January with concrete actions you can take on during February.
