Knitting Club Volunteer [monthly]

We are looking for a group of volunteers to help out at Colèchi's monthly knitting club (YKWU). The club takes place on the last Sunday of every month at The Lab E20, Stratford, a creative space designed by Christopher Raeburn...

What You'll Do: 

You will work alongside the team and support them with; setting up, signing in guests, social media (Instagram + TikTok), photography, videography, generally creating a relaxing and fun atmosphere and tidying up at the end. Please let us know your skillsets!

You will get to work alongside knitwear designers and creatives working in fashion. We are Colèchi a collective and research agency actioning sustainable development in the fashion industry. As a team we work to humanise clothing again through curation, workshops and insight; working in between brands, education and government in collaboration with our collective that includes growers, weavers, designers, media to recycler. Our Clean Fashion manifesto underlies everything that we do. We believe that by understanding and bringing awareness to the four key areas of the fashion supply chain – sourcing, making, media, afterlife – we can build a transparent and collaborative industry. 

What You'll Learn: 

You will learn how to produce and facilitate a creative event. Not only that, you will get to learn knitting and crochet technique from expert designers.

What We're Looking For: 

We are looking for volunteers with an passion for creativity and community. You do not need to know how to knit or crochet but an interest is key!
