Greeting those visiting Montague Chambers offices – both staff and visitors.
- Signing visitors in/out to comply with health and safety/confidentiality.
- Keeping the lobby area neat and tidy, with nothing obstructing the walkways/exits.

Answering/fielding telephone enquiries and passing on messages to the relevant staff members.

Enquiries may include (but are not limited to):
- details about the daily services
- special services or events
- booking tours/conference spaces
- more operational enquiries concerning access
- café/shop opening hours, and more

Enquiries may include (but are not limited to):
- Receiving and distributing incoming post and taking the post to the post office at the end of the afternoon shift.
- Recording parcels and notifying staff members.
- Monitoring the CCTV camera feeds and alerting the Vergers/other staff members as appropriate of anything suspicious.
- Experience of volunteering in a historic London landmark.
- An opportunity to meet new people and contribute to the aims and mission of the Cathedral.

- Someone who can regularly cover Friday afternoon 1pm to 4.30pm
- Reception and/or customer experience is desirable.
- Friendly, reliable and enthusiastic people who enjoy speaking to people from all backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under stressful situations.
- Knowledge of other languages is desirable but not essential.
- Interest in the Cathedral and its history
- Ability to demonstrate sympathy with the aims and mission of the Cathedral
