Love theatre, music and dance? Looking for a flexible summer volunteering opportunity? Welcome Host volunteers help ensure that every visitor to the Royal Opera House knows who we are, what we offer, and how to get involved.
- Welcome and greet visitors
- Share information and answer questions
- Give directions within the building and Covent Garden area
- Accompany tour groups to ensure they stay together during their visit
- Help to manage queues and spaces at busy times
- Assist Front of House staff in keeping everyone safe
You'll love:

As a volunteer you can:
- Claim travel expenses (up to £13.50 a day) and refreshments up to £4 (if volunteering for more than 4 hours)
- Enter ticket draws for rehearsals of Royal Ballet and Royal Opera performances
- Enjoy free access to ROH Stream to learn about our work and repertoire
- Go to volunteer social events and celebrations
- Apply for internal vacancies
- Get feedback on interviews if applying for a job at the ROH
