Neurodiversity Celebration Week (13 - 19 March) is a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences.

As a teenager who is autistic and has ADHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia, my experience has been that people often focus on the challenges of neurological diversity. Support families with children and adults with disability with the Markfield Project.
Markfield is small charity organisation helping and supporting families with children and adults with disability. This is an opportunity to join a team, gain skills and experience, give back to the community, and help others.
Volunteers with Markfield receive training, supervision, support, certificates from attending free training, and the opportunity to join trips and events. After receiving training, volunteers are matched with a family to support them for 2 hours a week. Volunteers offer support to meet the needs of each family. This could include:
- Playing with disabled children or siblings at home.
- Helping families go out in the community.
- Spending time with parents.
- Supporting a teenager to explore and develop their interests and independence.

Get musical with In-Deep Music Therapy sessions
Volunteers support with the setting up and clearing up of each session, as well as supporting the children throughout the session by joining in the songs, games etc. Volunteers are required from 10.45 – 14.15 every second Saturday of the month.
This is a great opportunity to see the difference music makes to children with special educational needs and disability (SEND) as well as well have fun yourself. In-Deep are looking for caring, calm people who are interested in working with children with SEND.

Become a Volunteer Coach and help young athletes to achieve their goals with KEEN London
During a typical KEEN London session, you’ll provide one-to-one support to an athlete, helping them to access all the activities on offer, achieve their personal development goals, and of course have tons of fun! You can expect to get involved with a wide range of playground games, ball games, nature walks, and creative activities. From time to time, they also run trips for athletes, and previous trips have included trampoline parks, high ropes courses, pedalo boating and slime-making classes.
